The Fundraising Committee is running a “Snack Basket” program in the kitchen.  In the basket you’ll find yummy snacks you can purchase for only $1.  Items will be nut-free and (mostly) baked by Our Place parents.  Feel free to grab yourself a morning or afternoon snack and help raise money at the same time as all proceeds go directly to Our Place.  You will find the basket on the kitchen island.

Did you know that Our Place collects Zehrs receipts for fundraising?  Their Save-A-Tape program provides funds to support community investment in healthy active kids and greening our cities.  Please bring in all your Zehrs receipts (not Valumart or Superstore) and place them in one of our collection boxes located by the reception window or in the kitchen.

Our Place also raises funds by providing our families with shopping cards.   By using shopping cards for making purchases that you plan to make anyway, you can help us raise money for programming!  Groceries, restaurant meals, movies, clothing, toys, gifts, even gasoline can be purchased with shopping cards. 150 families easily spend between one and two million dollars per year on food, clothing and other essentials. If these families used shopping cards for these purchases, they could raise as much as $100,000 per year for Our Place without spending 1 additional penny.  Typically we can earn between 4% and 5% when you buy our shopping cards. Shopping cards also make great gift ideas!

Download the attached order form, fill it out, print and remit with payment (cash or cheque) to the reception desk at Our Place.  Orders will be placed on the fourth Friday of the month and you will be called when your order arrives (usually within 1 week).  If there is a card you’d like quickly, give Cindy a call at 519-571-1626 x24, as she may already have it on hand for you to pick up.  Currently we have a supply of grocery, HBC, Giant Tiger, Tim Hortons, Starbucks, Shoppers Drug Mart and M&M Meat cards ready for purchase.
