Programs are posted each session. We offer a variety of programs for both parents and children. Some of these programs are offered as a ‘together’ time with both parents and children participating at the same time such as Families Together, Music and Movement and Baby Blanket Time. Parenting programs offered are Learning Begins, Make the Connection, Copeing with Toddler Behaviour and a variety of speakers, talking on various parenting issues, for our Speaker Series morning. We offer early childhood development programs for the children of adults participating in parenting programs. Support is provided in the following areas here at our centre as well, groups such as the Breastfeeding Buddies, Healthy Babies Healthy Children Public Health Nurse, Zero2Six and Kidsability Speech and Language support are here to help parents deal with any issues they may have regarding parenting their children.

Pre-registration is required for some of these programs. You can do this in person or by phone. Pre-registration is indicated for each individual program on the program outline

 

Looking for childcare? Our Place supports a Home Childcare Providers Network, follow this link for more information about the providers that particiapte in this network.

This Network is offered in eight week sessions, each Thursday morning from 9:30-11:15 a.m., and is facilitated by a provider offering professional development for the group.Our Place provides a pre-school program for children of providers. Pre-registration is required for both provider and children in order to participate in this program.
